I just started a Facebook account, believe it or not I’ve never really been interested in having a Facebook profile , whether it’s for business or personal use, it was just something I never thought that I would need or ever use in my life. I feel like having a business page on Facebook will be a really good thing, mainly because a lot of people use it as a way to market themselves especially on social media. In a time of social media having an online presence is really important whether or not your job requires it, it’s a good way to stay connected to the rest of the world.
Other social media platforms are for personal use to share your life with people on a global scale, specifically Instagram and Twitter, but Facebook has become a platform used for multiple purposes and one of the rather big uses of it is to market oneself, no matter what your job ( or hobbies) is. I’m super excited to really start to have a social media presence for the future, mainly for business purposes and all the things that I hope to be doing with video and photography. https://www.facebook.com/christal.isaacs.16/timeline?lst=100046459391687%3A100046459391687%3A1580937095
This is my first blog post and I super excited to get this blog started and kick start my career. I am a student at Durham College studying Video Production, with and interest in Photography. I don’t have a specific idea of what I want to shoot in terms of video or photography, but I’m ready to learn new things and to discover new things about who I am as a person. I’ve always been interested in movies, tv shows, things like Youtube videos and music videos. I’d love to work in the film industry in the future because I’ve always been intrigued by the behind the scenes process of movies and tv shows. I hope that I’m not a complete failure at filming and editing videos, I know that this job wont be easy but I feel ready to take on something that I’ve never really done before though it might stress me out a lot. I hope this blog will be able to help me through out my time in college and figuring out where I am going in my life.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
